Highlights from our Board Meetings

Club Board Meeting
  • Member Participation - One of our members asked the Board to add a topic about how we can get more member participation in our Club. Member participation in fundraisers, meetings and events have dropped significantly. It seems that the same core group of members help with everything and there is undue pressure on our President.  The Board discussed and is at a loss for how to get existing and new members o be more engaged and invested in the Club. If any members have any suggestions, the Board is open to any and all. 
  • Financial Audit - Connie & Sherri finished the audit of our financial and found no discrepancies - thanks to Steve for keeping everything organized.  The full report is available below.
  • Storybook Street - Our club will be participating in the Early Learning Coalition's drive-thru event. The event will be in April 24th from 9 - 12 at Orioles stadium. The Club will have its own booth where we will make the Under the Sea theme come to life.  We will need only 4 adults from our club as our Key Club members will be helping out. 
  • Strategic Plan - We are looking for a member to work with Al Levin to own and report on our Strategic Plan. Our hope is that this will help us ensure that all of our projects are meeting the goals set out in our strategic plan. 
 
Foundation Board Meeting
  • Siesta Key Beach Run - The Board voted not to sponsor the Beach run, but Joe feels we should be involved.  Any member feedback would be appreciated.  Looking to find another organization to co-sponsor. 
  • Popcorn Fundraiser - Our popcorn fundraiser will be ending this week.
